Neighbourhood Centre Week 2025 united communities across Queensland in a statewide celebration, raising the recognition of Neighbourhood Centres and their vital role. Now in it’s 20th year, the 2025 celebration saw more politicians than ever before acknowledge the vital role of Neighbourhood Centres.
Neighbourhood Centre Week 2025 invited communities across Queensland to get involved in a statewide celebration. The campaign was an opportunity to connect, say thank you and encourage Queenslanders to celebrate the amazing work of local Neighbourhood Centres and the people who help our communities to thrive.
Centres celebrated with their communities, organising a variety of different activities from open days to community meals and hosting visits with politicians and stakeholders.
This year, NCQ developed a new website for the annual event, which included resources, opportunities to get involved and share messages of thanks.
NCQ also wrote to all state and federal politicians based in Queensland about the role and impact of Neighbourhood Centres, activated a social media campaign with partner organisations and engaged news media.
