NCQ is promoting the QLD Neighbourhood Centres sector through the sponsorship of the 2023 Disaster and Emergency Management Conference (DEMC). DEMC is the only Australian & New Zealand event which brings together a cross sector mix of defence, emergency services, business, and community services at a leadership level. The Conference aims to zone in on the current challenges and future predictions of the sector to promote inter-agency collaboration and unity.
The DEMC will occur directly after the Growing Resilience Forum and a 20% discount is available for those who attended the Growing Resilience Forum. Use the code found on the Growing Resilience Registration form to receive the discount. When registering, you can also seek accommodation at the conference venue and the Conference Events Manager will follow up with you.
A number of sponsored places have also been made available:
- 15 sponsored places for representatives of Neighbourhood and Communities Centres to attend the Disaster and Emergency Management Conference. This includes full conference registration (worth over $1000 each), 2 nights accommodation and reimbursement of travel
- 5 sponsored e-delegate registrations (worth over $400 each) for Neighbourhood and Community Centre teams can view presentations online.
