Graham House Community Centre in Murgon is supporting its regional area with ‘Shopping Buses’. These buses regularly travel to Kingaroy from surrounding areas including Goomeri, Wondai, Nanango, and Murgon. They not only help local residents complete their shopping but also provide them with an opportunity for social connection which they may not otherwise have access to.
The door-to-door service has flourished since its inception, expanding its services in response to surveys and feedback from the community. This initiative is another example of the responsiveness of Neighbourhood Centres to the needs of their community members.
Graham House Community Centre emphasised, “we are grateful to contribute to the community’s ability to lead a more connected, liveable, and diverse lifestyle.”
