These free, self-paced online courses, hosted by Central Queensland University, have been developed by Neighbourhood Centres Queensland (NCQ) in collaboration with sector representatives, senior community development practitioners, and academic partners. They capture the rich knowledge and experience embedded within the Neighbourhood Centre sector. You might even recognise people you know in the videos throughout the course!
The Introduction to Neighbourhood Centres course takes approximately 2 hours to complete, and The Overview of Community Development in Neighbourhood Centres course takes approximately 4 hours.
Both courses include access to resources and additional materials to support your ongoing professional development.
These courses are valuable for anyone working in partnership with or alongside Neighbourhood Centres. They offer in-depth insights into the unique role Neighbourhood Centres play within their communities and how they work to strengthen and foster community development efforts.
