Across Queensland, Neighbourhood Centres have stepped in to make back-to-school time a little easier for families and to help children and young people start the year feeling prepared, confident and supported.

South Burnett CTC delivered a Back to School campaign supporting local families, providing primary and high school students with backpacks filled with essential school supplies.

Encircle Redcliffe Neighbourhood Centre ran a back-to-school snack drive, helping families stock up on everyday essentials to support children through the school term.

Mount Gravatt Community Centre coordinated a School Supply Drive, collecting backpacks, lunchboxes, water bottles, stationery and other essential items for children and young people in their community.

Redland Community Centre delivered a Backpack to School Project, providing tailored school supply packs for children and young people from Prep to Grade 12.

Leichhardt One Mile Community Centre hosted a Back to School event offering haircuts, books, raffles and activities, while also creating space for families to share ideas about how the Centre can continue to support them.

The Bowen Community Centre is running its annual Back to School Program, helping ensure children in the community have what they need to start the school year with confidence.

Better Together Community Support supported Centacare’s School Savvy FNQ initiative, acting as a drop off point for donations of school uniforms, backpacks and essential school items for local families.
