Neighbourhood House Week, happening across Australia from 8 to 14 May 2023, is a nationwide initiative to celebrate the role of over 1,000 Neighbourhood and Community Houses and Centres.
In New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia, it is referred to as Neighbourhood Centre Week, and in South Australia it is referred to as Community Centre Week.
This year’s theme is ‘Locals connecting Locals’.

Included in the Resource Pack:
A4 Photo Signs
Give your members, guests, and event participants the opportunity to express why your Neighbourhood or Community Centre is important to them (PDF) by printing the A4 photo signs and supporting them to draw, write or have a photo with their sign. Please share to social media with the hashtags #LocalConnectingLocals and #NeighbourhoodCentreWeek.
You can use the A4 poster to promote your unique event. Print it and post it on noticeboards or businesses in your community, or share it as an image in your local communities’ Facebook Groups (these are often listed by suburb name).
2022 Sector Impact Summary Poster
You can use the 2022 Sector Impact A4 poster to print and promote the extraordinary impact of Centres across the state!
Use the social squares to countdown until Neighbourhood Centre Week begins (8 May) and celebrate the impact of centres with the ‘Did you know?’ facts and sector impact squares.
Use the hashtags #LocalConnectingLocals and #NeighbourhoodCentreWeek.
Facebook Banner Image
Update your centre’s Facebook page with the banner, or use it for the Facebook event cover image.
