Description
This paper represents a first phase of a current early career research project by Donna Rooney from Sydney’s University of Technology. Rooney’s goal is to explore the scope and nature of learning in neighbourhood centres across Australia. In order to uncover the role NCC’s play in adult learning across the country Rooney first examines the social, political and historical context of Neighbourhood Centres and seeks to define their role in community.
