NCQ’s Growing Resilience Forum will provide opportunities for representatives across the sector to build on existing strengths by exploring opportunities for further connection and collaboration. The forum will be a valuable opportunity to connect with Neighbourhood Centres and the representatives of the broader disaster management sector. The purpose of the forum is to strengthen relationships, shared understanding and collaboration of the disaster management sector and its systems across Queensland.
Given the dynamic nature of the disaster management sector, particularly since the 2022 floods, NCQ and its members, along with other peak bodies, government and others have together identified needs for greater clarity and inter-connection of current roles and initiatives.
The Growing Resilience Forum will be held at the same venue, one day prior to the 2023 Disaster and Emergency Management Conference (DEMC) for Australia and New Zealand (July 11-12).
As a Conference Sponsor, Neighbourhood Centres Queensland is offering a 20% discount on DEMC tickets to all Growing Resilience Forum participants. Please note, this offer is only available for new registrations. The discount code for DEMC tickets is available in your Growing Resilience Forum ticket confirmation email.
Neighbourhood and Community Centres will have a morning workshop specifically tailored to our work in the Disaster Resilience Sector. There are also sponsorship opportunities available for Centres to obtain Free tickets to the DEMC Conference.
