Alongside Neighbourhood Centres across Queensland, Neighbourhood Centres Queensland are proud to have officially launched the Queensland Neighbourhood Centres Strategy for Disaster Resilience 2023-2026!

The launch event was held on Monday 10th July at the at the NCQ Growing Resilience Forum on the Gold Coast, with over 100 Neighbourhood Centres and disaster resilience stakeholders in attendance. Four Neighbourhood Centre representatives co-presented the strategy launch event with NCQ, including Sandiellen Black (Benarrawa Community Development Association), Yasmin Barber (North Burnett Community Service), Melinda McInturff (Community Plus Inc.) and Leeanne Harris (Mt Isa Neighbourhood Centre).

The speakers shared first-hand experiences, reiterating reasons for the four priority strategies to be understood by the disaster management sector and to be implemented through collaboration between NCQ, Neighbourhood Centres and the sector.
